Powder Puff Bowling Season Year 2007-2008

 Welcome all New Bowlers!!!     Welcome back everyone!!!

I hope everyone enjoyed their summer.  We have many activities scheduled for this year.  I am looking for new ideas for activities and a banquet hall.   Last Season we had our banquet at DiBurro’s.  Everyone seemed very pleased.

The price of bowling is $12.00.  Remember if you miss a week you must pay $16.50 the following week.   

The cost of the lanes did not go up this year.   Our league will pay $7.50 to bowl 3 strings for each bowler.  Which means only $3.95 per person will be going into the kitty for our banquet.  For example:  50 x 4.50 = 197.50 

                                                                50 bowlers x $4.50 = $197.50 a week for our kitty

                                                                30 wks x 197.50 = $5925.00 for banquet and prize money

We have a “Sunshine Fund” I ask if every bowler can tribute $1.00 a month.  The Sunshine fund is used for death, illness, or fun night etc.

This year I would like to extend the fun we have been having on this league for the last 8 seasons.  On the attached pages you will find activity night and explanation of awards given out a banquet.

 New Improved Over Average Pool

Starts September 13, 2007

Cost is $1.00

In years past we would take each string and see

which bowler bowled over their average for the string.

Now we are going to take your total score for 3 strings and subtract it from your average for 3 strings.

For example if your average is a 90.  90 x 3 = 270

If you bowled a 100 for each string  3 x 100 =300

30 pins over your average.

Whoever has the most pins over their average for the night.

Wins the JACKPOT.

The money will be given to the winner the following week.
